We see instances of courage every day, but not always in a 14 year old dog who has been abandoned by her family because they are moving... Innocence stands proudly in her kennel watching me approach. I leash her and out the door we go. I'm amazed at her spry, lively step and purposeful stride. Her leash manners are great as she walks, never faltering, by my side. We are told she is housetrained which she demonstrated for me as soon as we left the building. We are also told that she knows 'sit', 'down', and 'stay', and that she likes most other dogs, but can be selective. That's OK - most of us are selective in who we like - I can relate! Innocence lived with two adults, 1 teenager, and 2 kids under 13 for all her life, and is doing incredibly well considering her change in circumstance. She posed for her photos like a pro, and hungrily gobbled down the treats I rewarded her with. Her coat appears to be clean and cared for, her weight good for her size, her eyes bright and intelligent, and her white face shows strength of character and charm. She is so good looking, I wish I could see a picture of her when she was young - she was surely a knockout! Seniors are the best; they simply want quiet, some love, food and a good snuggle. She absolutely 'wowed' me as I know she will you... ask to meet her today.
